
Overview
Marcy Ferdschneider joined Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) Student Health on Haven in 2017 as Executive Director. Previously, she worked for almost six years as the Medical Director at the NYU Student Health Center, where she oversaw all of the medical services including ancillary health services, medical informatics and quality improvement.
Dr. Ferdschneider previously worked at Columbia Health at the Morningside Campus, first as Associate Medical Director and then as Director of Medical Services at Columbia Health, where she oversaw Primary Care. Her additional clinical experiences include working as a staff physician at Facey Medical Group in Los Angeles, UCLA Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center and the NYU Student Health Center.
Dr. Ferdschneider received a bachelor's degree in anthropology from Boston University and a medical degree in osteopathic medicine from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan, and is board certified in both primary care disciplines.
Dr. Ferdschneider’s interests include general primary care, preventive medicine, travel medicine, quality improvement and informatics.
